Delicious Yanggu DMZ Trip with K-Granny! At 7:30am, we will meet a guide at Yongsan Station and leave for Yanggu, Gangwon-do. (It takes about 3 1/2 to 4 hours.) After traveling by bus for about 1 1/2 hours, we will stop by a rest area. After traveling for another 1 1/2 hours, we will arrive in Yanggu, Gangwon-do where we will have Wild Vegetable Bibimbap for lunch

Memory of the dust in Yanggu in Gangwondo

In Korea, there is a custom of eating wild greens from mountain. And we season them very simply with sesame oil, galic and salt to make side dishes. Now, it is illegal for the public to go up and dig wild greens or wild(Mountain) ginseng for various reasons. However, there is still a job called “Ssammani” in Korea, and they go up the mountain and dig wild ginseng and bellflower roots for sale.
