Itinerary

Meet the tour guide

– Move to Jeonju by a private car (3h 20m)

– Arrive at Jaman mural village. It’s a small hilly village. But you will be able to enjoy colorful murals painted on the buildings and walls along the way. So, many visitors take pictures and call the village an outdoor gallery.

– Omokdae. Tae-jo, the first king of the Joseon Dynasty (1392-1910), held a winning evening party at Omokdae. You can look down the Hanok village here.

– Jeonju Hanok Village. In the village, there are 735 Korean traditional houses called Hanok. While the rest of the city has been industrialized, Jeonju Hanok Village retains its historical charms and traditions. Many tourists gather here to wear Hanbok and take pictures. You can also look around the village wearing Hanbok. And Enjoying various street foods is one of the most important way to experience Hanok village.

– Gyeonggijeon. Gyeonggijeon Shrine was erected in 1410 and holds the portrait of King Tae-jo. You can feel the beauty of Korean traditional architecture

– Move to Sunchang (1hr) – Gangcheonsa temple. It is Located approximately 1.8 kilometers from the entrance of Gangcheonsan County Park. The temple itself and the mountain walk to reach it are beautiful in all seasons. Also, many people visit the temple to see it’s five-story stone pagoda.

– Sunchang market. You can see the current state of the Korean traditional market and also can see the pop-up market opens every 5 days.

– Gochujang village. Sunchang is famous for Gochujang (Korean red pepper paste). So, there are various experiences related to Gochujang. In the village, you will be able to make your own gochujang and use it to make Tteokbokki. Feel the taste of Sunchang

– Chaegyesan Suspension Bridge. It’s a 270-meter-long suspension bridge. The bridge is 75 to 90 meters above the ground and the bottom is clearly visible, giving a thrill. – Move to Damyang (30m)

– Juknokwon. Juknokwon is Korea’s most popular bamboo forest. The charm of Juknokwon can be felt from the moment you step foot into the lush forest. The cooling breeze that blows through the bamboo provides rest, relaxation, and mind-soothing meditation. The forest has a high level of oxygen production. Take deep breaths while standing still within the forest and you will easily be able to feel this cool and refreshing environment.

– Meta provence. Meta provence is inspired by a city in France. Colorful walls and works of art and unique walkways make this place an attractive photo spot. You can feel the exotic European street atmosphere in Damyang

– Metasequoia-lined Road. The entire 8.5km of Metasequoia Road is lined with tall metasequoia trees reaching lofty heights of 10-20 meters. The road is included on the list of Korea’s 100 Most Beautiful Road.

– Gwanbangjerim. It is a two-kilometer-long forest that stretches along the banks of Damyangcheon Stream. Many visitors take a leisurely walk and enjoy this gorgeous forest and sculpture park.

– Soswaewon Garden. Soswaewon Garden is a private garden from the Joseon period where the beauty of traditional Korea is preserved. This beautiful garden also can be said to be a cultivating house of scholar spirit that many Confucian scholars discussed wrote their works here.

– Move to Gwangju (40m)

– After dinner, visit Sajik Park Observatory. It’s tower observatory that you can look down the entire Gwangju area and enjoy the downtown’s beautiful night view.

– Mudeungsan Ski lift & Monorail. Mudeungsan Mountain (1,187m) is the core mountain of Mudeungsan National Park. The charm of Mudeungsan is that you can enjoy the beautiful scenery of the high mountain by climbing the mountain easily. The slope and monorail will take you to the observatory. All you have to do is enjoy the natural scenery.

– Namdo Folk Food Exhibition Room. Namdo means Jeollanam-do province and Jeollanam-do is famous for its delicious food. So, The exhibition Room was established for namdo food and It operates various exhibition and cooking classes to preserve and develop the taste of Korea's southern dishes.
