Why you should visit Baengnyeongdo?
Based on South Korea, the northernmost part of the country is Baengnyeong Island. Baengnyeong Island and Daesocheong Island, adjacent to the NLL area in the West Sea, are military requests. The 6th Brigade of the Marine Corps, nicknamed Heukryong Unit, guards three islands. It is a land of high cultural and historical value as it retains the modern history of the dispute, just as the Cheonan Ship 46 Soldier Memorial Tower is listed.
Baengnyeong Island includes Dumujin, a nationally designated scenic spot, as well as natural monuments such as Sagot Beach, Kongdol Coast, Jinchon basalt, Yongtrimbawi Rock, and Yeonhwa-ri Mugunghwa. Daecheong Island is famous for camellia trees, Socheong Island for Bunbawi Rock and Stromatolite, and spotted seals inhabit all islands.

▶ Memorial Tower for Cheonan 46 navies ◀
On March 26, 2010, the South Korean Navy's Cheonan submarine, which was carrying out security operations in the waters of Baengnyeongdo Island, was cut and sank in an underwater explosion. For the souls of the 46 soldiers of the Cheonan ship, a memorial tower was built here overlooking the scene of the Cheonan submarine shooting.

Observatory - End of the Island
Located in Yonggawonsan Mountain, Baengnyeongdo Island, the northernmost island of the West Sea, you can observe North Korean islands and land using a telescope. It is also located at the top of the mountain, so you can see various parts of Baengnyeongdo Island, such as Sinhang Port and Sagot Beach on the left and Hani Beach on the right.
▶ Shim cheong gak ◀
> Indangsu, where Simcheong threw herself, was built off Dumujin, and Simcheonggak Pavilion was built in a place overlooking Indangsu and Yeonbawi Rock, where Simcheong was reincarnated to announce that Baengnyeong Island was the background stage of "Shimcheongjeon." Inside the two-story Simcheonggak Pavilion, there are old books, pansori, and movie scripts related to the doll work that reproduces Simcheongjeon Hall.
▶ Sagot Beach (Sagot Sabin) ◀
Sagot Beach is a coast made up of very fine sand particles. At low tide, a 2km long and 200m wide white sandy beach appears. The sand particles here are very small and have high uniformity, so the gaps between the particles are also very small. As a result, a solid layer of sand was formed, and its hardness was like a concrete floor, so it was used as an emergency runway during the Korean War. It is still a natural airfield with airport identification codes (K-53, RKSE).

Damugin it's named because it looks like generals having a meeting head-to-head, is called Haegeum River in the West Sea because of its beautiful and strange rocks. The sand, which was deposited about 1 billion years ago, became sandstone, but it is amazing that it retains the original sedimentary structure, even though it became quartzite, a metamorphic rock, due to heat and pressure.

▶ Kongdol Beach ◀
The beach formed by the crushing of a lot of quartzite on Baengnyeong Island, and after the quartzite was broken by weathering and erosion, the waves and wind constantly rolled the pieces, turning round due to friction with each other, making it look as if there are countless beans. The colorful beans were designated as natural monuments due to their unique coastal scenery.
